Wellbeing Officer

Cathy Baker is our Wellbeing Officer. 

The Wellbeing Officer assists students, parents, carers and teachers develop strategies to maximise a student's wellbeing and learn ways to better deal with the challenges they face, such as anxiety, fear, separation or anything that worries our children and reduces their ability to thrive. 

Cathy usually sees students (and parents) on a one-to-one basis in the privacy of The Kidsmatter Space away from the hustle and bustle of the classroom and playground.

She is available for parents to talk about the well-being of their children - in any areas where parents may need support with their children. 

Cathy also assists teachers to develop strategies to support students in their classrooms to settle into learning, socialising and developing a greater sense of well-being. 

Part of the role includes providing information about resources, support and agencies available to assist parents, teachers and the community.

When can students, parents and carers see Cathy?

Cathy is at school Monday & Wednesday.

  • Students can "drop in"  to see Cathy at The Kidsmatter Space during recess times.
  • During class time Cathy sees students by appointment. She will pick the student up from the class room and walk with them back to the classroom afterwards. 
  • Parents and Carers can make an appointment to talk with Cathy by phoning the school office on 4422 7045.

The Family Relationship Centre provides information about family relationships at all stages. Assist individuals and families upon separation with mediation and referrals to support services and assist separating parents to prioritise the needs of their children.
