Our school's class arrangements are based on students' specific learning needs, identified through literacy and numeracy data. It's important to note that students may move between different teachers throughout the day. As a result, most of our classes are composites, bringing together students from various grades in a single classroom.
We want to reassure you that we take meticulous care when assigning students to classrooms, ensuring a close alignment with their learning needs. Our decision-making process considers a range of factors, encompassing both academic and social advantages.
In addition to our standard classroom arrangements, we employ specialised groupings across the school to bolster students' academic and social growth. These initiatives encompass targeted learning groups, one-on-one learning interventions, school-based support programs (such as speech therapy), and school counselling services.
To guarantee effective monitoring of every child's learning needs and to foster their overall growth and well-being, we have a dedicated and highly effective learning support team. This team provides guidance grounded in data from the APC&I program, advice from the Assistant Principal for Learning Support, and assistance from Department of Education Regional resources. Additionally, our substantial School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) team collaborates closely with our teaching staff to deliver extra learning support and guidance whenever required.
Our unwavering commitment is to establish a learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students. We are confident that our approach will empower each child to reach their full potential.
