North Nowra Public School has an active P&C, committed to making a difference in the lives of the children, families, and teachers of our school. We achieve this through fundraising, managing the school canteen, and operating a uniform store.

All parents and carers are encouraged to become involved in the P&C Association. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30pm in the staffroom. Educational issues, school events and fundraising activities are discussed. Your attendance is encouraged and most welcome, joining the P&C enables you to find out what is happening at your child's school and also to have some input.

If you are able to help out in any way please complete the P&C Volunteer Opportunities form and return it to the office

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

Orders for lunch can be made online using the My School Connect app, or they can be handed in at the canteen in the morning before school.Your child's name, class and order should be clearly marked on the front of the bag if you are not using the online app.

The schools P&C Association operates our canteen as a service offered to students and families. Profit from canteen sales is returned to the school through identified programs that the P&C membership has elected to support. The Canteen Co-ordinator is employed by the P&C Association.

If you are able to help out in the canteen please complete the P&C Volunteer Opportunities form and return it to the office. The canteen operates a healthy food canteen within guidelines provided by the NSW Department of Health and the NSW DoE.

Our school canteen is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week of the school year.

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.
